TRAINING / Healthy Intelligent training - Lydiard way. Just read this

I was suggested to read Heathy Intelligent Training whis is a testiment to the New Zealand coach Arthur Lydiard's run training method.
Does any one subscribe to these principles? basically a very large base of arobic running reaching 100 miles per week. with a little leg speed work and hill work.

The book I found was a rather aimmed at elite runners whom run at between 5 and 6 minutes per mile as an easy run!

if anyone wants to have a read let me know.

I've managed a couple of long runs of just over the 2hrs now and need to try and keep consistant. We are starting to have the cycle time trials on the Sundays so I'll need to be flexible over which days I run on.
MK marathon is on the 29th April and the Outlaw on 1st July.

I'm intersted to know what sort of distance/time that people run for when undertaking their weekly 'long' run.
I am building my long run up in distance and was just getting 1Hr 45 min runs in before Christmas hit.
