Change of plan.  Training will now be Thursday morning to suit Dave Cook.  It may be a wet morning but temperatures should be okay.
Plan is to meet at the National Trust Box Hill carpark.

I plan to head down to Box Hill on Friday 27th January for a training session.  My plan is to warm up by doing one lap of the 8 mile bike section.  Then do 5 Zig Zag hill reps followed by a 8 mile run lap.  Anyone interested?  9am in the Box Hill NT carpark.
Weather permitting.

Another training visit to Box Hill smashed out!  2 x bike (7.8 miles per lap) and 1 x run lap.  Was joined by Jamie Stentaford.  Next trip Monday 16th.

Next training trip to Box Hill is Friday 13th meeting at 9am in the National Trust car park.  2 x bike and 1 x run planned.
Then Monday 16th same place/time.
The plan is to ride at a good clip but not race pace.  If you feel frisky, you can go hard up Zig Zag and wait at the top.  Same for the run.
All welcome even if you are not doing BallBuster - it is a great training session.

David Cook, Eran Agate and I did a recce of the course this morning (Sat 7th Jan).  Did 2 laps on the bike followed by a lap on our legs.  Hard course that needs a few more visits as you won't find a hill to emulate Zig Zag.  Beautiful but cold morning too and we must of seen 200 other cyclists but no runners there.

SALES & WANTS / Free to a good home!
« on: December 29, 2011, 04:04:03 pm »
I acquired a "TechnoGym XTPro Bike 600" from the gym at my old workplace but decided it is not right for me as I prefer a Turbo trainer or spin bike instead.  I have to admit that this is not right for a serious triathlete but more suited to an unfit person who needs to build up a little sweat and get some feedback from the bike.  It is Polar compatible and provides all the usual Time/Cadence/Watts/Heart Rate/Calories and Speed information.  The unit is about 10 years old but is a professional piece of kit and should last for another 10 years.  Please note that this is quite heavy and I wouldn't want to take it upstairs to a spare bedroom!
This is free to a good home/club and I will even deliver it in the Hillingdon/Gerrards Cross area.  I will try to upload photos but you can see them on my Facebook wall too.
Email me at jim.odonovan@live.com if interested.
